Hopkinton Public Library

   

The town owned a 67 acre dairy farm adjacent to the village center.  The slightly rolling land is mostly open meadow, crisscrossed with hedgerows, on the whole picturesque rural landscape.  Only a portion of the land was suitable for building; a low knoll located about 500 feet back from the street, somewhat hidden behind a row of Victorian era houses.
