A granite hearth serves as the focal point of the adult area and helps create a welcoming atmosphere in the winter months.

The Responses:
  • An "agricultural" exterior with an entry arch visible from the street.
  • Screened porches that overlook the meadows.
  • A meeting room that can operate independently from the library hours.
  • Barn-like space an one level, reflecting the character of the site and maximizing efficiency,  A centralized reference desk under the cupola has views to all corners of the library.
