The Capitol Center completed construction on its $3
million renovation in early November, 2003. The project, managed by
Cobb Hill Construction of Concord, saw major improvements to the
76-year-old theater:
• A glass stair tower and atrium lobby.
• An electronic marquee.
• New seating in the balcony.
• Extensive renovations to the lobby and Governor's Hall.
• New sound system.
• Complete restoration of the Egyptian-motif stenciling throughout
the theater.
